Tips to avoid refusal
- Double-check the ICAO line at the bottom of your passport; names must be entered exactly as they appear there.
- Avoid using 'Visa on Arrival' agents unless you need a specialized visa type; the E-visa is the standard for tourists.
- Ensure your portrait photo has no glasses and a plain white background to avoid rejection.
- Triple-check your entry and exit ports; if you arrive at a different port than listed, you may be denied entry.
- Keep a digital copy of your E-visa on your phone, but always have a printed version for immigration officers.
- Check the Vietnamese holiday calendar before applying, as the immigration department closes for festivals like Tet.
